Choose how it counts

Mode	When to use it
Until a time	“We start at 8:00 pm”. It counts down to that time on the computer’s clock. You can open it on several screens and they all reach zero together, even if you open them at different moments.
Duration	“Back in 15 minutes”. It starts counting when the source loads.

Type the text above (“Starting in”, “Back in”…) and the text at zero. If you leave the latter empty, it stays at 00:00, blinking.

Fixed time: check the clockIt uses the time of the computer showing the countdown. If that clock is off, so is the countdown.

Transparent background: tick it to overlay the countdown on another image in vMix or OBS.
Final warning: the digits change color during the last minute.
Progress bar: fills up as it reaches zero.

The preview on the right really counts down. Use Show end to see how it looks at zero.

Use it live

Under Live you’ll find the output URL. Click Copy and paste it into your software:

vMix	Add Input → Web Browser → paste the URL, at 1920×1080.
OBS	Sources → + → Browser → paste the URL, width 1920 and height 1080.
Display or ATEM	Click Open in new window, drag the window to the HDMI output and double-click to make it full screen.

Duration mode in OBSIn the source properties, tick “Refresh browser when scene becomes active”. That way the countdown starts right when you switch to that scene.

Changing something?The URL changes with every setting. If you tweak the style or the text, copy it again and update it in vMix or OBS.

Or download it as a video

Under Video you choose the resolution, frame rate, length and how many seconds of the end text to add at the end. Click Generate MP4 video: it takes a few seconds, not real time.

QLab: drag the MP4 into a video cue.
ATEM, Resolume or a media player: play it when you want the countdown to start.

No transparencyMP4 doesn’t support a transparent background: it uses the background color you pick. To overlay it on the program, use the live URL.
